Hughson is a small orchard town southeast of Modesto, surrounded by the peach groves that once earned the area the Peach Capital nickname. Incorporated in 1972, it's the newest city in Stanislaus County. It's also a city without its own criminal court, so a Hughson case is handled at the Stanislaus County Superior Court in Modesto. Felonies and misdemeanors go to the Main Courthouse on 11th Street; DUI and traffic matters are heard at the Traffic Court on Floyd Avenue, a short drive northwest.
Karan Saini grew up in Modesto and knows the farm towns ringing it. Before he defended anyone, he prosecuted felony cases for the Stanislaus County District Attorney's Office, where he learned how charges get filed and how the DA decides which cases to push hard. He brings that perspective to every defense, because knowing the prosecution's playbook is the surest way to counter it.
The firm handles the criminal range: DUI cases, domestic violence, drug crimes, theft, assault, on up to the most serious felonies. It handles injury claims too. In a community built around farming, that can mean a tractor or equipment accident, a collision on a rural two-lane, a dog bite, a fall, or a wrongful-death case.
Karan speaks English, Hindi, and Punjabi, and the firm offers services in Spanish, so the conversation is direct. Consultations are free. If you were arrested or hurt in Hughson, call 209-809-1634 before you talk to police or accept an insurance company's offer.
