The Saini Law Firm
Who we are.

From District Attorney to Defender

Modesto-born, Stanislaus-trained, and now on your side of the courtroom.

Born and raised in Modesto, California, Attorney Karan Saini truly calls the Central Valley home. After graduating high school, Karan immediately enrolled in and completed his undergraduate education at California State University, Stanislaus, where he earned his B.A. in Criminal Justice with a minor in Political Science. He went on to earn his J.D. from Humphreys College of Law.

While in law school and eager for hands on experience, Karan become a Certified Law Student in a local criminal defense firm, allowing him to practice law under the supervision of a licensed attorney. During this time, Karan helped defend cases ranging from simple misdemeanors to first-degree murder. The early experience of complicated and serious cases gave Karan firsthand insight into the criminal justice system, and the high-stakes individuals face when their freedom is at risk. Most importantly, Karan learned how to provide thorough and aggressive representation for those in need.

Karan later joined the Stanislaus County District Attorney’s Office and finished his time as a law student there, where he gained early trial experience by conducting and winning several jury trials before even taking the California Bar Exam. After graduating law school number two in his class and passing the rigorous bar exam on his first attempt, Karan stayed with the Stanislaus County District Attorney’s Office where he handled increasingly complex felony cases involving serious and violent offenses, many of which were categorized as life in prison cases.

His time as a prosecutor provided him with invaluable trial experience, knowledge on how to litigate difficult evidentiary issues, evaluate high-exposure cases, and close working relationships with both law enforcement and local defense attorneys. Karan now uses everything he learned as a prosecutor to defend those charged with any and all crimes, while also aggressively pursuing compensation for those injured by others.

In addition to running his law firm, Karan serves as a law professor, where he teaches future attorneys with the same practical perspective he brings to the courtroom. His experience on both sides of the criminal justice system, combined with his roots in the community he serves, allows him to provide clients with strategic, informed, and effective representation grounded in real world experience.
